Sheet Plastics Delivery Information

Nationwide UK Delivery Service

At Forge Finishes, we provide a dedicated nationwide delivery service for acrylic sheets, polycarbonate, aluminium composite, solid surface, and all sheet plastic materials throughout mainland UK.

Delivery Timeframes

Most orders delivered to standard mainland UK areas are delivered within 6–20 working days, subject to stock availability, product type, order volume, and delivery location.

Extended Delivery Areas

Deliveries to Scotland, Devon, South Coast, Wales, and North Wales are typically delivered within 14–28 working days due to additional distance and route scheduling requirements.

Cut-to-Size Orders

Cut-to-size and custom fabrication orders are processed before dispatch. Please allow additional processing time during peak periods. All cut-to-size orders are bespoke and cannot be cancelled once processed.

Postcode Exclusions

Deliveries to certain mainland UK postcode areas may be subject to extended lead times. Affected postcodes include: TR, SA, LD, SY, LL, PA, PH, IV and KW.

Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to: Guernsey, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, offshore UK islands, or Jersey. If your delivery address falls within one of these areas, please contact us before placing an order.

How Our Delivery Service Works

Sheet plastics are delivered using specialist flat-bed vehicles or pallet courier services to protect materials during transit. We offer a flat-rate delivery charge to mainland UK addresses, regardless of sheet size, order value, or number of items.

Delivery Scheduling

Once your order has been processed and scheduled, we will email you with your dispatch date and delivery information. Please note that delivery dates are allocated according to delivery routes and vehicle schedules.

On The Day Of Delivery

Deliveries are typically made between 7:00am and 7:00pm. As deliveries are route-based, we are unable to provide precise delivery times. Please ensure someone is available throughout the day to receive the goods.

Please ensure the telephone number provided with your order is correct and keep your phone available on the day of delivery.

Packaging & Protection

All sheet plastics are wrapped in protective film and packaged to minimise movement in transit. Polycarbonate and acrylic sheets are interleaved with foam protection where required.

Assistance Required For Unloading

For deliveries containing sheets exceeding 2m in length, sufficient manpower must be available on-site to assist with unloading. Our drivers operate a one-man delivery service and cannot safely unload large sheets without assistance.

Kerbside Delivery Policy

All deliveries are made on a kerbside basis only. Drivers are not permitted to carry goods through properties, lift materials onto roofs or scaffolding, or transport goods beyond the property boundary.

Project Planning

If your order is required for a specific project deadline or installation date, you must make us aware before placing your order. We strongly advise that customers do not arrange tradespeople until the order has been delivered and inspected.

Vehicle Access

Our deliveries are carried out using commercial vehicles including 7.5-tonne and 18-tonne vehicles. If there are any access restrictions at your delivery address, you must inform us before your order is processed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are delivery dates guaranteed?

No. All delivery dates and lead times are estimates only. While we aim to meet scheduled delivery windows, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally cause delays.

Will I be notified before delivery?

Yes. You will receive an email once your order has been scheduled for dispatch, confirming your estimated delivery date.

What are working days?

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public/bank holidays. Orders placed over the weekend are processed on the next working day. The day an order is placed is not counted as a working day.

Can I cancel my order?

Standard stock items may be eligible for cancellation if they have not yet been processed. Cut-to-size, bespoke, or fabricated orders cannot be cancelled once processed. Cancellation requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.
